The festival is happening at RiverScape Metro Park in Downtown Dayton.

There’s a lot of fun events- such as musical entertainment, a children’s area, and even a whiskey tasting!

3. Annie Oakley Days Festival – Friday, July 27th-Sunday, July 29th – Darke County FairgroundsnnIt’s the 55th year for this fun event. There will be an equestrian drill team, fun games, historical bus tours, vendors & concessions, and more!

4. 2nd Street Market – Ongoing – 2nd Street, Dayton

In 2016, this was voted the best Farmer’s Market by Ohio’s Best Magazine Readers’ Ballot.

5. One Dollar Book Swap – Fridays & Saturdays – 10am-6pm – Ongoing

They sell used books from all genres for $1. Or, you can grab a bag of children’s books for $10!

6. Splashtacular – Robert F. Mays Park – Friday, July 27th 10am-12pm – FREE

Attend this annual event sure to be fun for kids. Water games and Kona Ice will be there. At the end, the Washington Township Fire Department will spray the kids with water from their truck!

7. Brookville Community Picnic – Thursday July 26th-Saturday July 28th – Golden Gate Park, Brookville, Ohio

This is an annual event where everyone can find something to enjoy! Archery clinics, a fishing derby, tethered hot air balloon rides, bounce houses, skydivers, fireworks, live entertainment… the list goes on!

8. Art Exhibition, Yousuf Karsh: American Portraits – The Dayton Art Institute – Ongoing until exhibition ends

Photographer Yousuf Karsh captured the images of some of our country’s most well-known men and women. The collection on display is from the National Portrait Gallery. This special exhibit examines this unique style of portrait photography.

9. Adapted Action Day – Saturday, July 28th 9am – Oak Grove Park, Dayton

At this event, children with special needs and their families participate in fun activities adapted to their needs. Fishing, dancing, games, sports and crafts are all available to enjoy!
